The Idaho Korean Association (IKA) and We-Woori proudly provide two awards, 'Consul General’s Volunteer Award' and 'Idaho Korean Association's Volunteer Award' to Korean youth who have served their community with dedication and integrity, recognizing their contributions and encouraging them to continue making a difference. Along with the two awards, each recipient receives a scholarship from the IKA.  Please note that the Consulate General’s Service Award is only available to students who are Korean nationals.

Instructions:

□ Scholarship Application Period: August 1–31  (by midnight)
□ Eligibility: Korean youth in grades 9 and above residing in Idaho
□ Required Documents:
    - Application Form: Fill out the attached form — available in both Word and PDF formats
    - Personal Statement: Write a 1–2 page personal statement (300–600 words), explaining your
                                        motivation to volunteer, a meaningful experience and its impact, and
                                        why  you deserve this scholarship to support your future service.
    - Supporting Documents: e.g., proof of volunteer hours (timesheets, confirmation letters) and
                                              a letter of recommendation, which is required only from candidates
                                              who advance to the final round, etc.
□ Submission: Please save all required documents in PDF format with the file name ‘Applicant’s
                          last Name, first Name' (e.g., Kim, John), and submit it to the Director by email
                          (hyunmkang0818@gmail.com). For a letter of recommendation that final
                            candidates must submit, the recommender must email the director directly as a
                            PDF file.
□ Evaluation Process: The award/scholarship committee will complete three rounds of evaluation
                                      to select the recipients of the two awards.
□ Announcement: The awardees will be announced at IKA’s year-end event in December.

아이다호 한인회와 아이다호 청소년 봉사단체 We-Woori는 지역사회를 위해 성실하고  책임감있게 봉사해 온 한인 청소년들의 노력을 칭찬하고 보다 꾸준한 지역사회의 기여를 장려하기 위해, 봉사상과 장학금을 준비했습니다.

장학금 지원 방법
  장학금 지원 기간: 8월 1일 (금요일) ~ 31일 (일요일) 자정까지
  지원 대상: 9학년 이상 한인 청소년 
  제출 서류 (영문): 
    o 장학금 지원서: 아래 첨부 양식 다운받아 작성. 
    o 자기 소개서: 봉사에 대한 동기, 의미 있는 경험과 그 영향, 그리고 장학금을 지원하게 된 이유 등을 A4 1~2
                          페이지 분량으로 작성
    o 보충서류 (예: 봉사시간표, 확인 서류 와 같은 자원봉사 시간 증빙서류, 3차에 오른 후보자들이 제출해야 하
                            는 추천서 등)
  제출 방법:위의 서류들이 깨지지 않도록 PDF로 저장, 지원자 영문이름으로 저장한 화일 (예: Kim, John),
                  디렉터에게 이멜 (hyunmkang0818@gmail.com)로 제출. 최종 후보자들이 제출해야 하는 추천서
                  의 경우, 추천인이 PDF화일로 직접 디렉터에게 이멜.

접수된 서류는 장학위원회가 3차에 걸쳐 심사, 선정된 최종 2명에게 총영사 봉사상, 아이다호 한인회 봉사상과 함께 각 수상자에게 한인회에서 수여하는 소정의 장학금 지급.
